Nylon Materials FAQ
PA6 or PA66 — which nylon should I choose?
PA66 offers higher heat deflection temperature, stiffness and wear resistance, while PA6 is easier to process with better surface quality and lower cost. For high-temperature structural parts choose PA66; for cost-sensitive general applications PA6 is usually sufficient.
How does glass fiber reinforcement change nylon properties?
Glass fiber (GF15-GF50) significantly increases tensile strength, stiffness and heat deflection temperature. Our PA6+30%GF and PA66+30%GF grades reach tensile strength above 170 MPa and HDT over 200°C, ideal for structural and power-tool parts.
Why does nylon absorb moisture and how does it affect molding?
Nylon is hygroscopic — it absorbs moisture from ambient air, which can cause splay, voids and dimensional changes in molded parts. We supply dry-packed pellets, and recommend drying at 80-90°C for 4 hours before injection molding.
Can Jinsu develop a custom nylon compound for my application?
Yes. Our custom compounding covers glass-fiber reinforcement, flame retardancy (halogen-free), impact modification, lubrication and color matching based on your specification — starting from 5-10kg samples with full TDS.
What is the MOQ for nylon resin from Jinsu?
Free samples are available from 5-10kg (customer pays shipping), and bulk production MOQ is one metric ton per grade. Contact us for current FOB pricing and lead times.
